The first two blogs postings relate our perspective at http://www.e-hhw.com/—our beliefs and aspirations. This blog posting begins applying these concepts to areas of the human predicament that warrant our collective attention.
The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom listed 13 “countries of particular interest” in its latest annual report—they are:
· Burma
· Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea)
· Eritrea
· Iran
· Iraq
· Nigeria
· Pakistan
· People’s Republic of China
· Saudi Arabia
· Sudan
· Turkmenistan
· Uzbekistan
· Vietnam
More about the religious intolerance of these 13 countries can be found on the USCIRF website at http://www.uscirf.gov/.
Oppression is nothing new. Control and dominance through sheer brute force has always been with us. The only means of overcoming any injustice is with our collective creative expression. The responsibility for addressing oppressive injustices resides with those of us already enjoying the freedom to express and share our ideas without fear of reprisal.
Creative expression includes more than the visual arts, dance, music, theater, and literature. Creativity is also expressed in our attitudes, demeanor, politics, and forms of government—and yes, creativity has always accompanied the progressive change of these. When humanity brings together their creativity and intention, progress is made towards injustice.
We at e-hhw.com have committed resources to celebrate the diversity and potential of creative expression. This commitment includes our willingness to promulgate valid creative contributions that emerge from this blog.
We are unable, however, to generate the creative synergy necessary to address human injustice without your involvement. We solicit your comments—with the hope of celebrating the diversity and potential of our collective creative expression.
